Results 12th EKF Taikai ( May 25 & 26)
Team Competition
The team competition of the 12th EKF Taikai took place on Saturday May 25
After four rounds in which archers had to shoot four arrows there was a clear outcome looking at the total scores per team.
The German team with team members Michael Brettschneider, Boris Proppe and Peter Knipper was the clear winner of the EK with a score of 33 out of 48. France with Michel Dupont, Marc Bertin and Nicolas Ladron de Guevara ended second with a score of 29. Third in the team competition ended the Spanish team with Antonio Serna, Antonio Lopez and Luis Ansorena with 25 hits.
Following a shoot out the 20 best performing archers were known that would participate in the Individual Championship on Sunday May 26.
Individual Competition
The individual championship was run in 5 rounds in which each archer could shoot two arrows. After the 5 rounds the clear number one was Patricia Stalder (France). A shoot out was necessary as there were three archers ending with equal scores at place two. After shooting each one arrow, Johannes Maringer (Germany) ended at place 2 and Diethard Leopold (Austria) ended at place 3.
A special Style Price for the archer that consistently showed the best style in shooting throughout the competition was awarded by the Jury. This price was awarded to Patricia Stalder (France).
